Grade 1 learning - skip counting to 30 (by 2's)

Bonjour!  This week we were focusing on counting by 2's, 5's, and 10's all the way to 30.  Our students are doing well with counting by 1's (normal counting) to thirty.  Skip counting, or counting by a number (2's, 5's, 10's) is more difficult and we will continue to work on this skill this year.  Students were asked to represent counting by 2's using coloured macaroni or blocks.  The idea is to represent counting by 2's and then practice counting by 2's out loud up to 30 all in French.
This is one way to represent counting by 2's.  With blocks, it can look like:

Notice how these are both counting by 2's.  One thing we noticed today in class was that it can be a lot easier to count by 2's to 30 when couning with a partner. Get a partner, and count to 30, taking turns saying the number. One partner will say 1,3,5,7,9, etc and the other will say 2,4,6,8,10, etc which is our desired skill.  Please practice this at home whenever possible.
