This week we have been working with saying and representing times to the quarter hour, using both analogue (with hands) and digital clocks. Students are using demonstration clocks for their learning, an example below:
shows 12:45 which is quarter to one or "une heure moins quart". This one is probably the toughest to learn as the hour changes from the digital display to the 'saying out loud' of the time. Students have been working on reading, then saying the times using flash cards like this:
and quizzing each other with digital times as well. We will continue this work next week but please practice at home if you have time ;)
