This week we began our learning by exploring the analogue clock, with a focus on the hours and half-hours. Students were asked to represent times to the hour and half-hour using demonstration analogue clocks (clocks with arms). Next, the students built their own demonstration digital clocks to represent times to the hour and half-hour. Here are some examples:
Finally, students were asked to read both types of clocks and say the times, again to the hour and half-hour. To say the times for the clocks above in French, "sept heures et demi" (ie 'half past seven') and "six heures" ('six o'clock').
We will continue working on these at the start of next week.
