Grade 1 learning - equality games

Bonjour! This week we have been practicing counting, making two quantities equal using various strategies (adding more to one side, taking away from one side, moving some from one side to another, and combinations of the three). We have also been using some games to practice the concept of equality in smaller groups. This week the Grade 2 FI students shared their number sense video presentations with our class. The Grade 2's created a game using the Rekenrek math tools and a green-screen video to explain the game. After viewing the videos, they explained the games and had the Grade 1's play their game.
