Grade 2 - Rekenrek games presentation and counting routines

Bonjour! This week the students presented their Rekenrek videos to the Grade 1 students and helped them play their games which focused on number sense concepts. We have also started a routine where two students add magnets to the board as fast as possible while the class counts to a certain number. Afterwards the magnets are grouped into tens and counted. Students are asked to add the two groups together, subtract one group from the other, and make the two numbers equal, among other activities.
