This week, the students learned about how to identify some geometric shapes by their attributes. We focused on square, triangle, circle, and rectangle to start. Students have been counting the number of corners and number of sides to help decide which shape is which. Students also created their own animals or other creations using pattern blocks, working on finding out which shapes fit well together. Here are some examples:
